Most organizations exchange engineering data within their multiple divisions, many throughout the world, as well as with its suppliers and customers. To facilitate this data exchange, the process is either manual or usually a centralized FTP site that internal and external users can access. Our web-based Data Exchange products use current Internet and web technologies, to provide an automated, web-based application so that this process is carried out more efficiently and securely. The system enables users that are internal (employees), and also those that are external (clients/suppliers), to exchange data using a central repository that can be located within the internal network, or hosted external to the corporate WAN. Since this system is web-based, any end user will only need a web browser to interface to the system.
